Adult Education
EdD in Adult Education with specialization foci in The first cohort for the Ed.D. in Adult Education began in Summer 2010 at The University of Georgia Gwinnett Campus. At this time, we do not plan to begin a new cohort until at least Summer 2012. This program is designed to (1)advance the knowledge and skills of mid-career and senior professionals for leadership careers related to education and change at the individual, group, organization, community, and societal levels, in a variety of settings (educational, non-profit, social profit, government, corporate, etc.). and (2) develop scholar practitioners who can utilize theory/research to enhance their practice as well as contribute to knowledge in the field. An innovative format of five weekend meetings at the UGA Gwinnett Campus per semester combined with an interactive online curriculum makes this program accessible to working professionals.
